So....

Who's still visiting LJ these days? Anyone? Has facebook taken over? I suspect that's the case.... I'll continue to update since I've got a permanant account but is anyone out there? Even responses to community posts seem rather thin (not just my own!) these days. Maybe LJ has seen its day?

I read every day too... but I've realized I'm just posting photos and all my commentary goes to facebook...

I'm here every day. Apparently there's a lot of advertising on here and I think that's driving some people away. I don't see any since I've got a paid account & adblock.

I'd forgotten about that! I've never seen the ads, but I'm sure its annoying. I guess maybe that's incentive to pay for the account but maybe they're driving people away instead. Hmm.

Funny. I'm just coming back to LJ after quite a long hiatus. I don't have a permanent account, I don't even pay for LJ anymore (though I used to). I'm much more on twitter and facebook and the two blogs I have that are more public than this (Passionknitly my knitting blog and Yarn365 a yarn/photography blog)

It's funny though, this is like the third LJ post I've seen where someone was wondering where everyone is.

Also, I'll chime in that I don't actually see the ads. This is the most private online presence I have, I think (which is why I'm coming back to it).

I still like and use LJ. But I have a permanent account too. I tend to spend more time on twitter and facebook. But when I do bother to journal/blog, this is the only place I do it.

Still here, still reading every day. I'll never give up my LJ account. The intelligence quotient over at FB is so low on some days that I can feel my brain dying as I read posts.

Ah yes.... but you've got to just hide the dummies over at FB and keep only the people you're actually interested in visible - cuts down on the nonsense considerably!

I'm here! Haven't been for a few months - just making regular entries on my journal/blog, but haven't checked my friends list as of late. Until this morning!

They are rather different to me. I use both and prefer LJ.

I'm still here...
...a little bit. I've slowed down, and yes, Facebook is to blame.

But, I do think LiveJournal is the best place to place actual 'articles'.

My publishing workflow goes something like this...
- post photos to flickr
- blog the photo on LJ
- the blog entry autmoatically gets slurped up into Facebook.

I think it works pretty well IMHO

LJ is big in Russia now. But it seems the glory days here are over.

I am seeing a surge of returns to LJ, as users notice that facebook has very little actual human interaction. It's all flash games and twitter style one liners that get no response.

Found you from istock, I am ploveking over there.
