The VII Seminar today was excellent. It was great to hear some of the stories straight from the photographers themselves, rather than reading or watching interviews. Jim Nachtwey was a bit more stiff than I expected, but still very compelling. Chris Morris is very loose, funny and really "regular guy". David Friend was kind enough to sign my copy of his recent book Watching The World Change, which is one of the best books on 9/11 that I've read - maybe THE best.

It was a long day, but totally worth it!

It really was good, and they really are great. It was interesting to hear Nachtwey talk about 9/11 being the culminating of his 20 years of previous war shooting experience.

I'm a big Nachtwey fan. If you haven't seen it, War Photographer is an intense DVD.
