ATTN: anyone where it snows....

Ok, folks.... snow and ice are dangerous. yep, you heard it here first. I thought that was a well known fact, but apparently not, since SO many of you seem unable or unwilling to clear off the top of your cars before driving. Over the course of this past weekend, I witnessed 5 multi-car collisions and several were due to ice blowing off car rooftops - nothing like getting your windshield shattered at 60mph by ice blowing off the car in front of you, huh?
Driving on 95 is bad enough without extra projectiles isn't it? Can't we just stick with jackass speeders and traffic in New Haven - do we really need to up the ante?

good point! last week when there was lotttts of snow/ice around here, i was behind a big tractor trailer and *something* told me to keep my distance. sure enough, seconds later, a huge sheet of snow/ice came spilling off the back and alllllll over the road... it was massive! it kind of scared me, thinking what wouldve happened if all of that hit my car :\

Yep... Ice and windshields don't mix well! I'd never actually seen it happen before, but boy does a windshield come apart when hit by ice at 60mph... I don't like driving ANYWAY, and this is just one more reason for me to stay the heck off the roads in bad weather.
