Movie list

Suggestions anyone?

I'd like to build a list of similar (mostly kid-friendly) movies of a similar sort. Fantasy meets reality...

The Last Mimzy
Bridge to Terebithia
Small Soldiers
Wizard of Oz
The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
What dreams may come
Pans Labyrinth

No Harry Potter or LOTR, thanks.

Cool, thanks. I actually rented that one... then it sat around for two weeks unwatched at which point I decided to just return it. I'll have to give it another shot!

Mirrormask was good.

How about Big Fish? Ooh, now my brain is going to be rolling trying to find more!

Of course! How could I forget that one! Please, any more you can think of would be greatly appreciated.

Oh, Princess Bride would probably qualify since it's the grandfather reading to the Grandson.

Willow is a favorite, in part because iot stars Wickett, err... Proffesor Flitwick, errr Warwick Davis

possibly Eragon, although I've never seen it. Same thing with Princess Mononoke. Forget Howl's Moving Castle though. I didn't like it.

Time Bandits is a personal favorite, though kids may not "get it" Hell, many adults didn't "get it"

I would say the Goonies but you're looking for more fantasy I think.

Beetlejuice definately comes to mind as does Edward Sciscorhands.

Amongst animated films Corpse Bride was excellent, as was Nightmare before Xmas. Monster House was also well written.
I suppose Charlotte's Web might fit but honestly the animated version not the film version. Granted I've never seen the film version but can't imagine it being as good.

Who Framed Roger Rabbit is one of my all time favorite movies.

Gremlins and Gremlins 2 would work.

I imagine thats enough for one post.
