Nothing like a good mass casualty incident in your front yard to shake up your day! Just got in from helping with a multi-vehicle collision in front of my house. Unfortunately, no photos - I was in EMT mode, so I didn't get any good destroyed vehicle shots. Just helped stablize and transport the patients.

Oy! (((HUGS))) I'm assuming everyone is OK and there was no damage to your property.

There were some injuries, so I don't want to say much more than that - but nothing that looked immediately life threatening. All the cars were destroyed though. We're pretty lucky with our property though. Since we're on a corner at the top of a hill, crashes aren't uncommon in or near our front yard. BUT, we're up above sidewalk level, so the worst that ever happens is some lawn and garden damage. No big deal. Our neighbors across the street are right at sidewalk level... dangerous. A head on collision almost ended up in the living room of the guy across the street a few years ago!

Do you admit to at least wishing a very little bit that you could have been in photojournalistic mode?

Absolutely. In fact, the first thing my wife asked was if I got any good shots! But there was alot to help with and I figured public safety comes first. And its not like its the first (or last...) car crash in front of my house, so maybe next time... :)
