Hehe...it looked very familiar. I used to work on Hudson Street and spent my lunch hours in Soho...I miss Olives! Maybe one day for lunch I'll take a little time out for one of their special chicken sandwiches. Ever have one? YUM! Hmmm, think they'll deliver to midtown? :)

Awesome photos once again...
If I may ask, what camera(s) do you use for your shoots? I would love to get into concert photography down the road, and currently dink around with some local acts. I am working with a low end camera at the moment, but down the road will purchase something that allows me the speed I need to shoot concert photos. Which leads me to the last question... when shooting concerts, what type of flash are you using? Or are you again just working with a very quick lens?

Sorry for the questions, but your photos are so awesome that i had to ask you these questions.

Thanks,

~Ger

Re: Awesome photos once again...
Thanks.
My equipment list is quite long, but my main camera body is a Canon EOS 10D. It works pretty well. Flash? No. I hate the look of flash for concert shots. I also think its rude to keep firing a flash in the musicians face for an hour. I'll typically shoot 200 shots during a set... they'd be blind by the time I got done!
What I do instead is bump up the iso to 800 or 1600 and shoot with f/2.8 and 1.8 lenses. This works well for me, but certainly isn't typical...

Re: Awesome photos once again...
When you shot larger shows they will not allow you to use a flash at all. So that is a crutch that some people need to ween off of later when they find they can no longer use a flash.

Hey, I wanted to ask you. Will you work the CMJ Fest? Just wondered, but I might find myself out there for that on behalf of a client.

CMJ
Its possible. I haven't gotten any assignments to shoot yet... I actually don't even know who's playing! I'll have to look into it... Who will you be there for?

Re: CMJ
I rep a couple of photographers in addition to doing publicity, so I will be there for one of the photographers. Although I some bands I am friendly with will be there this year. If I go, there is a lot to take care of before it settled for sure. So, I am hopping we get it all done in time.

If it's not too much to ask...
Would you mind taking a look at these links and give me a little advice on the photos?

Everything is pretty much self taught so I would love to hear the good (if any)and the bad.
